Studio Brieditis & Evans is a textile studio run by Katarina Brieditis and Katarina Evans. 

In our Studio we combine all our experiences in design, crafts, product development, production and textile re-cycling.

We have been working together since 2001 with different projects and share the curiosity for all textile techniques, materials and re-cycling and we are constantly experimenting across techniques and materials in order to find new expressions.

In 2003 we started the Do Redo project together with Östergötlands Ullspinneri which resulted in a book on re-cycling and an exhibitions that showed in Sweden and Japan. We gave many lectures and workshops in Sweden Norway, Denmark, Finland, Japan and USA in "The Art of Slaughtering a Sweater".

The Japanese publisher PIE Books assigned us in 2007 to make a book on Swedish traditions, crafts, food through the season's.

The years 2008 through 2010 we consulted Sally Ann, Trade for Hope by The Salvation Army. Our assignment was to assess and update the product range for the Sally Ann shops. Also to set up a structure and methods of design- and product development for every specific producing country. We visited Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kenya, Zambia, South Africa, Chile, Peru and Moldova.

Katarina Brieditis makes designs for textiles, table wares and products for companies such as Linum, IKEA and Rörstrand. She also designs for knitting, has developed designs for the Swedish Handicraft Society and clothes for Gudrun Sjödén. www.brieditis.se

Katarina Evans has a background working with unique pieces of textile art and conservation of antique textiles. Embroidery is her special skill and she also teaches in the craft. Before Re Rag Rug Katarina worked twelve years in the textile industry as product developer for Linum. www.broderievans.blogspot.se
