Slipsfabriken - The Tie Factory
Our starting point for the exhibition was a large amount of discarded corporate silk ties, all the same, which we were donated. We had also purchased seconf hand silk ties at thrift stores.
The material is luxurious, but as in our previous projects, a matter of surplus production. Mass produced, un wanted and excess textiles that have become a waste product.

Our vision was to create an imaginary industry where we were not producing ties, but producing out of ties.
We were factory workers and sometimes played the roles of Directors.
